Budva
Budva may be 3,500 years old but it as an exemplary modern tourist destination. Sitting on the eponymous Budvanska Riviera, the town is the most visited area of Montenegro, Not surprising - it fully deserves its label as a Riviera. It has all the beauty of the similarly named areas of France and Italy, including cashmere soft sandy beaches, safe crystal clean waters, great sightseeing, and vibrant nightlife. It is so popular, it is often called the Miami of Montenegro.
The beaches of the Budva coastline are the draw card, and there are 17 to choose from. Budva town sits to the north of the bay, so most beaches lie southwards, except the notable Jaz Beach. Each beach has its own charming personality, including those on the little island of Sveti Nikola: Blinding white sands, lapus lazuli waters, rocky headlands, small bays, sweeping stretches, cedar trees, lines of sun beds and umbrellas, and kiosks and cafes, are all just some of the ingredients in varying combinations. Queen's Beach is considered one of the best in Europe.

The old town (Stari Grad) is a charming labyrinth of narrow passages and interesting stone buildings which tell their own story of Budva's development through the ages. This area of the town is enclosed by walls, defensive towers and city gates that date back to the 15th century. Within the fortified area is the citadel, inviting little squares, inspiring religious buildings, monuments, and statues, including the Dancing Girl – a popular inclusion in holiday photographs. Among the most significant churches is that of Saint John. It holds precious icons and important libraries and archives, and The Chronicle of Budva. Other items and exhibits of import can be viewed in the Budva Archaeological Museum.
